Cathodic protection sits awkwardly between two trades. Corrosion specialists understand the chemistry but often can't legally open a rectifier. Electricians can work on the cabinet but don't know what the readings mean. Most asset owners end up coordinating both, plus a supplier who did neither.
Aegis Sentinel covers all three. We supply the equipment, we diagnose it, and we arrange the licensed electrical work under the appropriate state licence. One contact, one responsibility, one invoice.
Factory-backed diagnosis
As the exclusive Australian distributor for NES Nová Dubnica, we hold the manufacturer's full technical documentation, proprietary test equipment and factory fault-diagnosis tooling for the entire NES range.
That matters when something stops working. A generalist can tell you a rectifier has failed. We can tell you which stage failed, why, and whether it's a board, a component or something upstream on the groundbed — quickly, and without guesswork.
It's also the difference between a unit being repaired and a unit being replaced. Factory tooling means faults that would otherwise write off a rectifier are often a component-level fix.
Electrical work, arranged
Rectifier installation, replacement and repair is electrical work, and it has to be carried out under the correct licence for the state the asset sits in.
We handle that. Licensed electrical work is arranged and carried out under the appropriate state licence wherever your asset is located, coordinated by us as part of the job. You don't need to find a local contractor, brief them on cathodic protection, or manage the interface between them and your equipment supplier.
Stock and spares in Melbourne
NES equipment is manufactured in Slovakia. The obvious question is what happens when you need something quickly.
We hold stock and spares at our Mitcham facility in Melbourne. Common units and parts ship domestically rather than waiting on a European lead time, and we have direct technical escalation to the factory when something falls outside what's on the shelf.
What we cover
- Supply — NES transformer-rectifiers from 1 A to 100 A, air or oil cooled, switching drainage units, complete outdoor stations and solid-state polarisation cell replacements.
- Commissioning — installation, setup and handover, with the electrical work arranged under the correct state licence.
- Diagnosis and repair — factory tooling and documentation for the full NES range, at our Mitcham workshop or on site.
- Remote monitoring — DataCell loggers and the DataScape platform, reporting potential, current, pressure, level, flow and run hours across water, gas, rail and industry.
- Retrofit and upgrade — replacing ageing transformer-rectifiers with switchmode units, adding interrupters, or bringing remote monitoring to equipment that predates it.
