The Loop a Line is a product developed specifically for telecommunications technicians involved in fault location activities. It provides the functionality to remotely switch the line through 4 positions: open, short, tone and exchange.

Connecting the transmitter at the exchange a pair identification tone can be put on the line. At the far end you can find the pair. You can then switch the transmitter, from the far end, into any of the 4 modes available. The ability to swap between open, short, and exchange makes the use of test equipment such as TDR's and bridges much simpler and results in huge time savings over conventional methods.
