The Voltage Surge Arrestor is an encapsulated gaseous arrestor providing protection of people from overvoltages on telecommunications lines and equipment due to atmospheric discharges/disturbances or the effects of induction from or contact with electric power installations.

The encapsulation provides protection to the electrical integrity of the device rendering the module suitable and effective when used in situations exposed to moisture (e.g. in a telecommunictions pit).
